The historical Sei Shounagon was an author and a court lady who served the Empress Teishi during the middle Heian period. She is also known for her literature work "The Pillow Book", which include her personal observations and thought. In the series: Sei Shounagon was a home-stay neet who spent most of her time at writing. One day, she was asked to attend the interview of Empress Teishi's private tutor, and get recruited.
