Obama Mifuyu is the gunnery officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy heavy cruiser Unebi. As quite possibly its only heterosexual crewmember - certainly out of the main cast - her job is full of Freudian symbolism. She's a glamorous blonde with princess curls who is prone to getting too hot and removing rather more of her uniform than regulation permits.
