Hinako was initially a member of the girls' tennis club and a very promising player. After a traffic accident and a contracted infection during the aftermath, she lost movement in her left leg. Due to rehabilitation she had to take a year off, so she had to repeat a year in school. She became a manager for the boys' tennis club after.
