The police chief of Ust-Aldan. A tall man with a splendid beard. He is experienced in wrestling and takes pride in having nearly brought a person named Alexander Karelin to a near fall. His great-grandfather died in the Russo-Japanese War, and his grandmother was assaulted by the Japanese army in Siberia, which led him to harbor an extreme hatred for Japanese people.
