He is the naval minister of the Ming dynasty, and his wife is a Japanese woman named Tagawa Matsu. After losing his only son, Zheng Chenggong, to an illness, he falls into deep despair. One day, he meets Shiro, who bears an uncanny resemblance to his late son. Struck by the resemblance, he decides to adopt Shiro as his own son. Based on the historical figure Zheng Zhilong.
