Kage Hōshi, whose real name is Kagerō, is the first antagonist of the series, and is later revealed to be Recca's mother. She possesses the madōgu Eikai Kyoku ( Shadow Ball ), which allows her to teleport through shadows, show people the past, and perform acts of scrying.
