He is Light Yagami's high school friend ~!and a new member of the Japanese Task Force who joined within the year after Light died. !~ He also makes an appearance in the One-Shot chapter. As revealed in chapter 108, he and Matsuda share a close friendship. According to Matsuda, they've gone drinking together on some occasions.
