Mizuhito Akiyama, born in Yamanashi Prefecture, is a Seiun Award winning author noted for Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu. Graduating from Hosei University, he read about novel creation in a seminar class under advisement by his guidance teacher Professor Kanehara Mizuhito, whom Akiyama took his penname Mizuhito after.
