Synopsis

The setting is an apartment complex built during Japan's period of rapid economic growth. There, elderly people are living alone with their cats, waiting for their "solitary death" that will come someday. What kind of story will they face tomorrow?
The author, 76 years old and living in an apartment complex herself, depicts the overwhelming present as the future for all of us. The latest work by Saito Nazuna, winner of the Japan Cartoonists Association excellence award and the manga division of the Japan Media Arts Festival Manga's excellence prize for "Yuugure e."
