My Achilles' Heel

In an era of chaos, with the throne left without a ruler, the five great houses fell into a brutal civil war for dominance. Enraged by the blood spilled in the name of ambition, the god cast a curse upon the foolish: the creation of Alpha and Omega traits. To seek forgiveness, the five great houses agreed to hold a hunting tournament and offer sacrifices to the god. Onyx, the newly crowned matriarch of the First House, finds herself deeply troubled by the upcoming tournament. Her nemesis, Kairo, the Alpha and patriarch of the Second House, has suddenly declared his intention to participate. For Onyx, who has risen as an Omega leader in a house that traditionally refuses to accept Omegas as heads, Kairo’s presence is far from welcome. Where will their clash, fueled by mutual hatred and undeniable attraction, ultimately lead?
