Kisaragi Chiyo was offered as a sacrifice to a raging god. To protect her younger brother, she wanted to be eaten along with the poison that would seal the god's power. As Chiyo awaited that moment, the handsome dragon god, Ginrei, appeared before her. The dragon god, feared by all, treated Chiyo with the utmost respect as a bride—but refused to eat her! While comforted by Ginrei's kindness, Chiyo worked hard to improve herself in order to be eaten. Meanwhile, Ginrei tried to resolve Chiyo's unfortunate situation with the power of a god. As the two lived together, their paths constantly crossing, they eventually began to confront each other through their secrets—and so began the fateful wedding story of a sacrificial maiden and a dragon god.
